Being as I consider myself a bit of a stationery aficionado, I’m sort of amazed that I’ve never written about Appointed. It’s only been about a year and a half ago since the American-made brand of luxe utilitarian desktop products funded themselves on Kickstarter. All of Appointed’s paper goods and accessories are thoughtfully handcrafted with the finest of materials, making functional synonymous with beautiful. People watching is one of my all-time favorite pastimes, so I love seeing Bologna-based illustrator Victoria Semykina Antolini credits the activity as an inspiration behind her beautiful creations. She also spends a considerable amount of time indulging her love of ships by frequenting a shipyard, adding an adventurous feel to all of Victoria’s work. Write It All Down

January and February always leave me scrambling to write down all of the ideas and plans running rampant in my head for the coming year. Not in my phone or in an email draft, but by actually putting pen to paper. Making these thoughts tangible seems to make them more attainable, and I’m not about to mess with that kind of magic!
