Posted In entertainingI’m loving the clean, simple packaging of Francis Ford Coppola Encyclopedia wines.
“With Francis Ford Coppola Encyclopedia, we have hand-selected wines from around the world to begin a journey into understanding how wine is tied to and influenced by culture. Geography, history, food and religion, to name a few, all determine how and why wine is made and enjoyed. Our winemaking team traveled to Germany, France, Spain, Italy and Argentina – five countries where wine cultivation has thrived for centuries, to choose varietals that best represent the culture and traditions of each of these storied winegrowing regions. In turn, Encyclopedia wines are proud storytellers.”

Posted In entertaining, packagingDuring the season of rampant parties – not to mention colds – it never hurts to have a little distinction between glasses and/or bottles! And these 123 Cocktail Napkins are a lot nicer was of doing it than oh, say, telling an acquaintance to keep his gross germs to himself. Unfortunately you can’t invite more than six guests!

PS: November’s Mad Props are running a bit behind, but I promise they’ll be here shortly!
Posted In entertainingI always have dreams of Thanksgiving grandeur, filled with perfect table settings and the most exquisite feast. Contrary to my dreams, my celebrations are usually relatively small. However, should there ever come a time when I need to break out extra chairs for the Dinner of All Dinners, these autumn place cards would be a must. Brilliantly easy!

Posted In entertaining, make itIf I had been thinking like a normal, rational person at any time in the past few weeks I would have connected that today being my birthday as well as election day would have been perfect for a party. You’ll just have to trust that it would have been kickass and probably gone something like this.
Instead you’ll just have to take what you can from these election day cocktails.

Posted In cocktails, entertainingI know, I know. You’ve probably seen post after post lately exalting the beautiful dessert buffets created by Amy Atlas Events. But I couldn’t help it – I just had to join the party. Seems that the monochromatic themes carried throughout are what really make it work.

I love the idea of hosting a Seven Deadly Sins dinner party ala Dragon’s Kitchen. Seven courses, each paired with a corresponding sin, served in a fashion (and portion) so as to not overwhelm your guests and have them leaving with an upset stomach. Seems like the perfect fete for fall!
Posted In entertainingPearl River always has the best bargain finds that just make sense. Like these bamboo fruit forks. Perfect for picnics or get togethers. Love the color-coded dots on each fork for identification. But I think I’d use them all the time just to avoid sticky fingers.

Posted In entertaining, grand designI’d drink my wine out of a Dixie cup if I had to, but these 7 Deadly Glasses certainly provide a more interesting alternative, no?
These red wine glasses are based on the 7 deadly sins. Each glass encapsulates a sin, which is revealed through the ritual of drinking. The ‘7 Deadly Glasses’ are about celebrating passion and encouraging the user to be sinful in a theatrical fashion.
