Miette Patisserie & Confiserie.

It’s almost a though San Francisco’s Miette Patisserie & Confiserie stepped out of a fairy tale. The products have incredibly fun names like the Tomboy, Debutante and Princess Cakes and change with every season. The shop itself is a modern candy store blending the look of old-time penny candy with European delights. And of course don’t forget the clouds of handmade cotton candy, bouquets of candy flowers and trees made of lollipops. A Sweet Tooth’s dream come true.

Wild Bunch & Co.

Wild Bunch & Co produces 100% organic cold-press juice made exclusively to order for bars, restaurants, healthcare centers, spas and resorts. If you happen to live in Singapore – where it’s made – home delivery and catering are available.

I’m not so much interested in that side of Wild Bunch & Co. (although I will take organic when and where I can get it). What I am into is the package design. I love the simple black and white sans serif type on that amazingly functional bottle, not to mention the vibrant colors of the juices themselves.

Charles Chocolates.

The packaging on Charles Chocolates confections is very tasty. It doesn’t help that Pate de Fruit is one of my favorite things ever and looks so good on this overcast afternoon of officedom.

Pastis.

Pastis is a French bistro located in the heart of Manhattan’s meatpacking district. I’m sure you’re most likely heard of it – seems like a lot of celebrities go there to eat and be photographed by the paps. But whatever because I’m nowhere near Manhattan and not raving about their food, but their identity and packaging.

Dean &am Deluca’s House Blend.

I’ve been a devoutee of all things Starbuck’s since high school. Ever since the only place you could get some of that sweet, sweet caffeine near my hometown was at the Barnes & Noble twenty minutes away. Nothing could change my belief that their coffee is by far superior to all others.

Or so I thought.

A few month’s ago I bought a bag of Dean & Deluca’s Breakfast Blend and have been a changed woman ever since the first sip. It’s amazing, I don’t know what else to say. Not only am I loving their coffee, but their simplistic branding and design as well. Starbuck’s will always be near and dear to me, but I fear our relationship may never be what it once was. Sigh.

V Chocolates.

V Chocolates has some incredible packaging going on. I love the baby blue box, which I’m convinced we equate with Tiffany’s in our mind which then equals quality. Or maybe that’s just me! Regardless, not only are V Chocolates (and toffee and berries) amazing to look at, but I’m betting they taste delicious as well. Master chocolatier, Ron Best, has been in the business of creating chocolates for more than twenty years.

Baked.

Love the name, the packaging and the identity of this Red Hook, NYC bakery. Baked is the dream-turned-reality of a motley crew who like to think of themselves as “dessert experts; the kind of people blessed with a highly (almost holy) developed sense of taste and smell.” Their dessert obsession finally spilled over from full-time hobby to full-time profession in their ode to the perfect bakery, Baked.

Since I’m not in New York, I can only gawk and, thankfully, order online. The offical Baked diner mug is $8 and comes in either brown or orange. This too cool Tea for two teapot is $15. There’s a wide variety of gift sizes for everything. I won’t get into specifics about the baked goods because I need to eat a salad for lunch and that would just make it way too difficult to swallow.

Teas’ Tea.

I tried a bottle of Tea’s Tea Green White this afternoon and it totally freaked me out. Mainly because I’d failed to notice the word unsweetened on the label, but also because it tastes like tea you would be served in an Asian restaurant. As in actual. real. tea. The packaging is why I picked up the bottle (and paid for it, don’t worry) in the first place. I like the unexpected shape and clean type. The bottle itself feels sturdier than most plastics, so it seems like you could hang on to it and put it to another, reincarnated use. (Watering plants? I don’t know.) Definitely worth a try, I think I’m headed for the Lemongrass Green next. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you about the unsweetened factor!
