Happy Weekend.

I’ve been putting up a valiant effort in fighting off a cold that’s threatening to take away my weekend, but it seems to be gaining an edge. The achiness has moved in and my willingness to venture out of the house and moved on. If by chance you’re feeling under the weather as well, content yourself from your couch with these lovely links from the past week… Happy Weekend!

**NOTE: Don’t forget, you only have until Monday at 9am to enter the PaPaYa giveway to win a beautiful giclee print from Sabrina Ward Harrison.

Heidi Burton Halloween Postcards.

I found these awesome off-the-wall Halloween postcards by Heidi Burton a few weeks ago and have been dying to share. They embody exactly what October 31st is all about: embracing your quirkiness and bringing out your inner wild child! Her shop is closed until October 8th, but be sure and stop by to check everything out once she returns.

Happy {Labor Day} Weekend.

With this being Labor Day weekend and the unofficial end of summer, the seasons are about to start changing. And with that a few things are getting rearranged around here as well.

I asked and you answered – Mad Props will now be included in my end-of-week Happy Weekend post. That means weekly roundups of goodness instead of monthly! It also means that the This Weekend: section of the post will be relocating itself to the Monday Goodness post. Got all that? Good.

And don’t forget to enter The Honey and Pig Shop giveaway before Tuesday morning at 9:00 CST! You have a change to win an adorably frilly hair piece.

Labor Day Eats.

I can hardly believe this weekend is Labor Day! Seems like the last few days of summer are zooming past. I put together a little menu full of some few things I’d love to make for a cookout this holiday weekend. Enjoy!

The kiddos can enjoy some (1)Pineapple Mallowade, while we adults sip on (2)Lambic Sangria. A nice raspberry-laced twist on the original. As we relax in the backyard and play some lawn games everyone can munch on some (3)Avocado Salsa and tortilla chips. For dinner a modern take on (4)Broccoli Slaw, crunchy (5)Summer Panzanella, refreshing Korean (6)Sweet and Spicy Cucumbers, juicy (7)Bruschetta Burgers and (8)The Best Baked Beans Ever. And after we digest for awhile and wait for the sun to drop a bit lower in the sky dessert is served: (9)Magic Pudding Dessert for everyone and some *extra special* (10)Cold Comfort Pops for the adults. I don’t know about you, but I sure am full.
