Kaleidoscope Patchwork Quilt.

Here’s the thing, I don’t really like a lot of bright colors in my life. A pop here and there is great, but I live much closer to muted tones. And quilts? I own one for summer, but it’s white with light gray stitching. Nothing like this Kaleidoscope quilt that I can hardly keep my eyes off of. The flip side has a sweet floral pattern just in case you need a break or a change.

The Whole Story.

Talk about a conversation starter. The Whole Story photo albums by Debra Folz are both sculptural and a place to store your memories.

Photographs today are stored and accessed digitally, and viewed one frame at a time. These photo albums were designed to fall off the shelf and land in your life, living amongst you the way the memories do, in between the spaces of everyday, yesterday, and tomorrow. A hybrid of traditional bookbinding techniques and contemporary engineering, they stand independently due to a reinforced front and back cover. A removable binding allows the books contents to be expanded, allowing you to view your whole story.

Paper Pot.

Anyone who knows-me-knows-me also knows that I’m usually attached to a tissue. (Or a paper towel, or a napkin…) But, as a rule, tissue boxes are completely unattractive. Floral motifs, holograms, faux marble… seriously? I’m feeling the need to invest in a Paper Pot. It can be used for either tissues or toilet paper and is completely functional, yet unassuming.

Reclaimed Oak Tub Caddy.

I want to be a bath person, but I’m just not. The only times I pop in for a soak are when I’m sick or depressed, others it just feels like I’m sitting there in my own filth waiting for the water to get cold. But then I saw this reclaimed oak tub caddy, and it makes me wish a were not only a bath person, but also a not clumsy person because it’s completely gorgeous. {via pinkshirtsandcarwrecks}

DIY Arrows.

Is this National Awesome DIY Project Week? Why didn’t anyone tell me?! I’ve come across some of the very best do-it-yourself projects ever over the past few days. Today it’s all about decorative arrows. I know you’ve seen them, priced them, then most likely run screaming for the hills. Lucky for us, Danielle Thompson took it upon herself to put together this phenomenal tutorial featuring three different types of arrow designs. I’ve got it bookmarked for one of those long winter days that are just around the corner.

Birch Bark Vases.

Birch trees are most likely my favorite tree species. Growing up my grandparents had a huge one in their front yard. I spent hours under its lofty branches, peeling the paper-thin bark off and destroying it of course.These days I have a much higher level of respect for nature in general, especially when it’s cast copper sheathed in silver and takes the form of a vase.
