Flavor Paper.

Thanks to founder Ted – and some young designers who saved the company days before the designs and equipment were to be destroyed – we have Flavor Paper, a small hand screened wallpaper company located in the Bywater District of New Orleans. To support their printing process, the Flavor Lab houses a darkroom, screen etching equipment, and an ink room where they custom mix all colors. I think it would be so much fun to choose a wall in one room of my home and wallpaper away with the boldest, most graphic paper they design!

Matthew Mead Fall.

I adore Matthew Mead’s advice and ideas, only it makes me sad that he updates just once a season. I want more. The Fall version was released recently with some tasty looking recipes for chifon pies, as well as autumn style tips and decorating ideas for Halloween and Thanksgiving. Definitely make sure and check out the Downloads section for some fun ideas.

Lotus Bleu.

Lotus Bleu is a great little shop I only just found that has a unique selection of contemporary art and home décor imported from France and Southeast Asia – be sure and check out the lacquerware. This desk chair would be perfect in front of my red desk along with the mint lacquered lamp on top. So cute!

The Conran Shop.

I’ve heard a lot about The Conran Shop in the past, but only recently became a fan. Now I’m left wondering what took me so long. The accessories are what really set me off, as well as the fact that so many great pieces are quite affordable. I’m loving these silver tea sets, metal canisters, votive holders and red tray. These pieces are so timelessly chic.

Café pelé.

The Café pelé espresso cup by designer Julie Pfligersdorffer is both beautiful and innovative. I love her idea of making the handle part of the espresso cup by peeling it off of the vessel. Of course, this also means that you can only fill the cup about halfway…

Apple Pie Design: Wall Decals.

And the wall decal frenzy continues. I don’t know if I’m the only one, but I just don’t get tired of seeing new designs. Maybe it’s the ability of being able to customize something as structural and permanent as a wall with minimal commitment. Whatever the reason my latest discovery is Apple Pie Designs – and it just may be my favorite thus far. I’m totally digging the branch decal most of all.

Wingback Lounge Chair.

Love this wingback lounge chair at West Elm. Between the high back and deep chocolately-brown color I’m sold. I can see myself curled up (it’s winter and gently snowing outside in case you’re wondering) with a glass of red wine and a book I can’t put down. Unfortunately Roxy and Peanut would most likely spend more time it than me.

Nigella Lawson: Living Kitchen.

Nigella Lawson is a tad too much for me to bear. Nonetheless, she is a beautiful, intelligent, modern woman who has my full respect. Especially after seeing her line of Living Kitchen kitchenware which makes me swoon. Every piece is beautifully simple and pared down with a color palette to match. I wouldn’t mind one bit adding these pieces to my already too full kitchen!

Architectural Artifacts, Inc.

Yet another reason I should (or should not) be living in Chicago.

Architectural Artifacts Inc. is the sister store to the newly openned Museum of Historic Chicago Architecture. Founded in 1987 by Stewart Grannen, the focus of the store has always been on intrigue, pieces of the lost world and beautful aesthetics. With the recent expansion of their showroom from 30,000 to 80,000 square feet there’s even more room for fabulousness, including their amazing collection of stained glass, lighting and wrought iron.

Hanna Mugs.

Hanna Mugs are the work of Scandinavian designer Hanna Werning. Each design is hand applied onto each mug. Hanna gathered the inspiration for her mug designs from dresser drawers in her childhood. I love the kicky colors and designs of all three mugs: Hanna Black, Hanna Pink and Hanna Blue. I’m not even sure I would use them as “mugs” but maybe place them on my desk to collect paper clips, tacks, etc instead. So pretty.
