You can’t go wrong with almond flavoring. You just can’t. Especially when it contains alcohol like this Amaretto Cake with Raspberry Filling.

Posted In recipesBudweiser’s holiday commercial is one of my all-time favorites. Enjoy! (And prep yourself for some delayed holiday cheer via me!)
Posted In ads, christmas, holidays, see itI got to work at 7:30 and had to spend only two hours working off someone else’s computer before my beloved MacBook showed up via FedEx (and sporting a new screen and logic board)! Seriously the best Monday of the year.
Yet I still have mixed feelings because…
… I didn’t get to share my last few days of Gift Lists
… I didn’t get to wish you all a timely Merry Christmas
… I didn’t get to get any work done while in PA
But at the same time…
… my hard drive arrived back to me intact
… I had a lighter carry-on on my 6:00 am flight back yesterday
… belated Merry Christmas wishes are nice none the less
I hope you and yours had a lovely little holiday. I’ll be sharing more about mine a little later on.

Posted In christmas, holidays, monday goodnessI can hardly resist these Strativarius sugar tablets! First, they’re sugar which I have a hard time saying no to. Second, look at those colors! Third, I love the idea of “break off as much as you want.”

From our very first batch, we believed that it was not enough to create delicious, buttery caramels to delight the senses — we wanted to spark imaginations and inspire our customers and ourselves to, as Mahatma Gandhi said, “be the change we wish to see in the world.” So we wrapped each handcrafted caramel with words of wisdom, and sent them out into the world.

In the original recipe post for Honey Drizzled Squash Cake, Jules used Blue Ballet squash. But what can i say, I’m a fan of butternut squash, so I’d definitely be substituting it instead. (Besides, it’s usually the easiest to get a hold of!)
