I always have dreams of Thanksgiving grandeur, filled with perfect table settings and the most exquisite feast. Contrary to my dreams, my celebrations are usually relatively small. However, should there ever come a time when I need to break out extra chairs for the Dinner of All Dinners, these autumn place cards would be a must. Brilliantly easy!
I thought with Thanksgiving right around the corner that now would be a great time to showcase sweet potatoes. But you won’t find any sweet potato casserole recipes here! Because Sweet Potatoes Week is all about the unexpected!

I had a treat-sized bag of Whoppers last night leftover from Halloween. So when I saw this recipe for Chocolate Whopper Malted Cupcakes I was intrigued.
If you’re a chef or baker, whether by trade or by hobby, you know that spice racks are rarely designed to hold more than 16 or 20 spices. And that’s really just not enough. I’m a true believer in the idea that when you pay for a product you pay for the experience it will provide you. Which brings us to Alice Chocolate and the sweet, matchbox-like package it arrives in and the cigar-like wands of pure chocolate held within. Lovely, lovely packaging.
In a bowl add raspberries and ½ ounce of the Chambord. Muddle these together to ensure the two are well incorporated. Add the cocoa powder and 4 ounces of the red wine. Mix well and then strain into a small pitcher to remove the raspberry seeds. Add the additional Chambord and red wine. Pour into a mixing glass or shaker with ice and vigourously shake. Strain into martini glasses and enjoy! As an option, rim your martini glasses with chocolate and crushed nuts. You can also dust with a little cocoa powder or add a shaving of chocolate. Serves 4-6.
Ferrero Rocher happens to be one of my very favorites when it comes to chocolate. And this recipe for Ferraro Rocher frozen pie is a good excuse to experiment with all of the complex flavors that make up those chocolate balls of goodness. (You heard me right!)
