“It started with the collecting of heart shaped rocks at the beach. I decided to document some of them. Then it seemed hearts started to appear everywhere. The only rule I have set is for them to be naturally occurring and/or accidental to count”

New Weekly Feature: 3 to See.

Pacing the Panic Room + Belly Pictures.

I’m ooh-ing and ahh-ing over photographer Ryan Marshall’s blog, Pacing the Panic Room. Specifically his Belly Pictures. His wife Cole has given him permission to photograph her growing belly one a week during the course of her current pregnancy. Next to each week’s photo Marshall composes sweet letters to their unborn child about the week’s events.

Ten Dollar Drawings.

Ten Dollar Drawings is a very inventive idea by artist Alicia Carrier. She’ll draw the subject of your choosing on a 5 x 7″ piece of brown paper bag (or white paper if you prefer) for just ten bucks. And these aren’t your typical doodles because Alicia is oozing talent. The entire project is an effort to be in the practice of drawing every day and save up a little money on the side. Off to order mine now!
