Posted In wear itI really admire the work of Houston-ite Tara Levitin. Leviticus Jewelry is both delicate and whimsical which just so happens to be my favorite combo.
Posted In jewelry, wear itThis great little I Feel Like a Number necklace was made after artist Melanie Favreau had a horrible experience at a government office. (Haven’t we all been there/done that?!) Available in a limited edition of 100, you won’t even know what number you’re receiving until it shows up at your door.
Posted In jewelry, wear itLauren Wolf’s goal in designing her jewelry is to bring together nature in form and industry; to create jewelry of contrast that both complements and commands attention. Her jewelry is bold, yet blends edge and elegance. Wolf’s studies in Mexico really shine through in her lovely jewelry creations.
Posted In jewelry, wear itI feel like I’ve been hiding under a rock. A month or so ago I walked into my local Banana Republic and was confronted not only by their usual selection of cute clothing, but also by displays stacked with absolutely stunning handbags. When did they start carrying handbags, clutches and wallets?! I feel like someone should have told me because they’re that great. And they must think they’re “that great,” too, because it’s reflected in the price. But they’re so, so pretty!
Posted In bags, wear itCan’t you just imagine seeing this Ziptie Ring on someone’s hand and realizing what it actually was? Lovely.
Posted In jewelry, wear itAn understatedly simple personalized piece is something no girl’s jewelry collection should be without. This piece would be the perfect addition to mine! The disc is 1/2″ in diameter and available in five different font choices: Roman, Circle Monogram, 5 Line Fancy, Helvetica and Wedding. Now yellow gold isn’t really my thing, but it’s also available in white gold from what I can gather.

Posted In jewelry, wear itI stumbled across Etsy shop Contagious Jewelry last week and am absolutely smitten with her organic feeling pieces.
She says it best. “An advocate for the small and forgotten, the displaced and discarded, I find the act of adorning oneself with these objects to be empowering. Each component of the natural world is beautiful, from molecules passing through the walls of cells to toxic mold, from single-celled organisms to deadly viruses. By embellishing ourselves with the forms we take for granted or are too afraid to think about, we celebrate ourselves and our place in the world around us.”
I will say it again and again (and again for good measure): turn something that serves one purpose into something that serves another and I think it’s genius.
Case in point: the skateboard clutch purse or aptly named Sk8 Bag. For every bag purchased designer Beck(y) donates $3 to various organizations dedicated to building and maintaining skateparks across the country. So cool, so cool.
Posted In bags, wear itFormed around a take-out coffee cup, the Bentwood coffee cuff satisfies both form and function – the bracelet doubles as a java jacket! So fantastic. “No, I don’t need a cardboard sleeve. I’ll just use my bracelet, thanks!!”
