Field Pack

Field Pack-1-Design Crush

I just returned home from a few days at NY NOW where I got to scope out all things new as well as catchup with some old favorites. One that stuck out were my pals at Yield Design Co., in particular their brand new Field Pack. An evolution of the Field Bag, the Field Pack has one main compartment with a small interior pouch and two exterior side pockets. This water-resistant duck canvas, copper hardware and vegetable tanned leather bag is modern lines at their best. (But really, check out their entire line of bags because whoa.)

Metalepsis

Metalepsis Projects-1-Design Crush

Metalepsis is a bi-coastal design collaboration between Victoria Cho and Astrid Chastka. Cho and Chastka create conceptual jewelry by re-imagining the influences of art, architecture, and science as wearables with clean lines, elegance, boldness, and confidence. All of these elements come together in a mad storm of modern beauty.

Chambray

Chambray-1-Design-Crush

Rachel Craven Textiles

Chambray a trend that I flirted with in the 90s in the form of a Canadian tuxedo – sleeveless button-up and cuffed jean shorts (I know you know.) – then never thought twice about again. Now with 90s influences showing up everywhere I turn it’s back on my radar. Last fall I purchased a greyish-blue button-down that I love, but now I’m toying with the idea of summer pieces. The material is just about as perfect as can be for high temps, light and breathable and dare I say it effortlessly chic.
