Galactic Garb

Hi, Design Crush readers! I’m Jessie from Style & Pepper and I’m happy to be the mouse that’s come to play while my kitten Kelly is away. Thanks for indulging me while I share a little bit of fall fashion with you in her absence. I wanted to keep design at the forefront of my guest post, so I picked a recent pin of mine that has made me feel particularly inspired, and sort of went with my gut from there. Enjoy, and feel free to pop over to visit me anytime!

Starry skies have been twinkling their way onto the style scene recently, and as a nature lover who also happens to be a full-blown addict of all things glittery, I think that it’s a complete match made in heaven. First I fell in love with the astronomical art, and then the dreamy dress followed closely behind… Naturally, my next move (being the good little style blogger that I am) was so see what shoppable goodies I could find that would go along with the aesthetic, and I was happy to discover that the results are out-of-this-world.

Maslo Jewelry

Maslo Jewelry is the perfect reminder that simple shapes are just plain the best. Virginia-based designer Nicole Maslowski incorporates vintage findings, dead stock materials, vintage chains, costume jewelry, as well as gold, brass and silver into her works. And I can’t find one piece that wouldn’t fit seamlessly into my wardrobe. (via Wit & Delight)

Laurel Hill

Laurel Hill‘s metalwork is equal parts modern and relic. I can picture each piece being worn by both quirky old hippy and trendy young hipster. That’s saying a lot and packing quite a bit into a design style. I’m drawn to Laurel’s work and can’t wait to see what’s to come from this talented jeweler.

Autumn Brights + Neutrals

Oh hey, Autumn. Did you know you’re my favorite? Your moderately warm days and chilly nights are the perfect combination. And your colors? Don’t even get me started. You make me miss the northeast like mad and count your numbered days from the start. You also make me a layering fool who’s obsessed with creating her own autumnal palette, this year I’m seeing a brilliant mix of brights and neutrals all playing together like a bunch of falling leaves.

Stone + Honey Arcos Collection

Stone & Honey‘s latest collection, Arcos, abandons the rough edges and stones previously embraced by their pieces in favor of the basics. Brass, torch, hammer, and thread. The color palette is a perfect match for the cooler months that are just about upon us, and the curved arches that dominate the collection are beautifully feminine. Classics in the making, no doubt.
