I love the contradictory characteristics of this Porcelain Gem Necklace. The delicacy of the chain mixed with the heaviness of the bauble. The sharp angles versus the curves. All of it. {via Pinterest}
I’ve always been proud to be a Scorpio and taken pride in the fact that I match up with the profile of the sign quite nicely. So when I thought (for a few days) that I might be a Libra, well, I started wondering how exactly one goes about changing a tattoo of a scorpion one might have on one’s foot into Libran scales. Luckily all was resolved shortly thereafter. However, since the Great Astrology Scare of 2011 I’ve been noticing lots and lots of astrologically-based things. Here are a few that caught my eye.
EmersonMade always (and I do mean always) impresses me, and so far this year is proving no different than the last. This month alone a signature tee collection was released and now there are these gold coin pendant necklaces. They hang at the perfect length, not too long or too short, and each have their own meaning. I do love that shamrock.
I’ve been experiencing a resurgence of my love for geology the past few weeks. While home for Christmas I bought a three inch tall piece of rough-cut quartz, then while traveling home from Salt Lake City eyed a paperweight for at least five minutes before deciding against it. Now these raw geode earrings from jeweler Georgia Varidakis are calling out to me. {via The Shiny Squirrel}
These rose gold astrology necklaces from Kimberly Baker are beautiful. I love the way the chain loops through the top of the pendant to hang. I think this is already on my birthday list for next November.
If I ever have reason to hire a personal shopper specializing in jewelry it’s going to be Alyson. She finds piece after piece of jewelry that I drool over and dream of. This Pyrite Angular Bracelet from Lady Grey is only one instance. Lovely, no?
I love all things tarnished, maybe I equate them in some way with myself. I’m not quite sure. What I am sure of is these authentic coin necklaces from etsy shop oatie’s and how much I like them. Which is to say, lots.
