Posted In jewelry, wear itspinthread has been making its rounds for a few months now, but it wasn’t until I saw Erin’s necklace in person at the Alt Summit that I really fell for Lorena’s work. And wow, have I fallen hard. I love her attention to detail and all the vibrant color combinations she uses.
Posted In jewelry, wear itI give up. Nearly every time I spot a piece of jewelry I just have to have on Shiny Squirrel it’s from Bittersweets NY. I’m especially enamored with their ring selection. So delicate and smart.

Lauren Manoogian’s Paper Garlands necklaces make me scream-from-the-rooftops happy. Colorful paper garlands strung on a leather cord with hand-painted wooden beads. Yay. {via Greedy Girl}
I’ve wanted a necklace with my name on it ever since the Carrie necklace on Sex and the City. But up until now there just hasn’t been one that’s struck my fancy quite like the CAJA custom nameplate. Each piece is hand calligraphied and cut with a jeweler’s saw and available in both vermeil and silver. Well worth every penny I suspect. {via Pretty Little Things}
Posted In jewelry, wear itBroad Street has the sort of jewelry that looks like it came from your grandmother. But so, so much better and fashionably sustainable. The Mysteries of Love bracelet is my favorite piece in their shop at the moment.

I’m the first to confess to my love/hate relationship with The Martha, but I also know when it’s time to man up and admit she and her staff have done something noteworthy. I’m completely smitten with this series of projects on how to make handmade jewelry and accessories. Here are a few standouts that I can’t wait to try my hand at…
Posted In jewelry, make it, wear itI’ve finally found the perfect necklace for a modern design geek such as myself. Tiny Little Chairs is a series of collectable pendants celebrating mid-century design. Each pendant represents a vintage chair that revolutionized design as we know it today. The first series consists of five chairs: The Scoop Chair, The Pavilion Chair, The Dining Chair, The Work Chair. All are available in solid gold, silver and bronze. {via Design Milk}
Posted In jewelry, wear itThe vial necklace collection has such a magical amulet feel to it. Choose from compost, crude oil, holi powder, Pacific ocean and sand to wear around your neck as your own personal protection from the wrongs of evil. A collaboration between Alexandra Cassaniti and Unearthen.
