I’ve come to the conclusion that I need a folding tray table. You just can’t go wrong with versatility like that. The Nicobar folding tray table from Ballard Designs is my favorite so far. It unfolds for easy set up and has a removable tray top with separate spaces for bottles and glassware. Entertainment on the fly – love it!
Book Smarts is a series of three books – The Truth About Nothing, Semi-Survival Guide to the Future and Words of Finite Wisdom – by Anthony Burrill that had me cracking up at my desk this morning. Anyone who can make me laugh that hard makes me instantly like them. I’d love to own a set of these bad boys.
UPDATE: After posting this, Anthony himself contacted me. He saw that I was a fan of the band Reindeer Section and shared a video he made for them and their song You Are My Joy. So, so good it left me a little happy/sad! Check it out here.

Bord voor een kind was designed to become an extension of your already existing porcelain dinnerware as a child-friendly deep dish/plate with handles. But forget the kiddies – I want a set. I love the shape of the acrylic glass piece and think they’d make perfect pasta bowls.
These cranberry-raspberry jellies (cran-raspberry jellies?) have such great color, I’m sure they’re bursting with fruity flavor. I could use a sugar rush from something sweet and chewy like these this afternoon!
Loving this teacup tea towel! The little sketch is so sweet and the yellow would brighten up my kitchen oh-so-nicely.
Eugene and Louise Bakery in Antwerp is the team-up between three Belgian friends: Glenn D’Hondt & Sylvia Meert (aka Eugene and Louise) and Tinne Mermans.
Their product design couldn’t be any more playful and fun if they tried. I’m sure the product is fantastic, but it could taste like tires and I’d still buy it as long as it looked like this!

Formed around a take-out coffee cup, the Bentwood coffee cuff satisfies both form and function – the bracelet doubles as a java jacket! So fantastic. “No, I don’t need a cardboard sleeve. I’ll just use my bracelet, thanks!!”
In The Martha’s take on pasta alla carbonara, bacon substitutes for pancetta, and shallots and peas are included to give the sauce texture. No eggs either!
This perforated steel dresser is a-okay by me. In fact, it’s more than a-okay. It would be perfect in an industrial loft-type space. What would I do with it, you ask? I would line a wall with them in my imaginary studio workshop and use the space as ultra-cool storage.

I’m not a big whiskey fan, but this Milk Punch sounds and looks amazing!
Ingredients:
– 2 oz Blended Whiskey
– 2 oz Milk
– 1 tsp Superfine Sugar
Garnish: 1/4 tsp Nutmeg
Glassware : Collins Glass
Mix all the ingredients in a mixing glass with ice and stir. Strain into a collins glass and garnish with nutmeg.
