Coke Side of Life.

I came across this series of Coke posters in the Coke Side of Life campaign today and fell in love with them. Apparently only the first one was actually used. Wish they were for sale because I’d love to have a set. What a great color palette!

Avocado Necktie.

It’s freezing outside and we’re about to get hit with another winter storm sometime between tonight and tomorrow afternoon. I can’t believe it’s not even technically winter and all this crazy weather has been happening. In Oklahoma the cold-cold stuff doesn’t usually show up until after the New Year. Because of the wind factor here (constant) scarves of some sort are a must. This avocado necktie is a nice option besides a big, bulky scarf. And it can be worn under your winter coat or over a sweater. Nice.

Silicone Bowls.

Life has been pretty crazy lately, so I haven’t had time to do any baking. But these silicone bowls would make it super easy and probably save me some time in the prep-work department. I’m hoping that after the holidays they release some colors other than red, green and white.

Zen Hideaway.

The Zen Hideaway is designed to blend in with your style and give your pet a nice place to curl up for a nap. Apparently it’s large enough to hold two cats or a Dalmatian puppy, so if you’ve got a pet in that size range you’re golden. I like that you can use it as either and end table or nightstand and the variation in colors available should suit almost everyone. And I’m pretty sure my cats, Roxy and Peanut, would fight over who got to hang out inside so I’d need two.

Wish Ornament.

An ornament with a purpose. Write your wish on one of the strips of included paper and put it between the magnetic halves of the wish ornament. Inside it contains the message “Wishes do come true.” I’d look forward to using this year after year.

Drink Away the Art.

Art museums are some of my favorite places in the world and I can appreciate the occasional gallery as well. One thing that has always irked me is the lack of interaction the viewer has with most art. I like to get up close and personal and see what it’s all about, which makes artist Hannes Broeker a man after my own heart. Broeker’s Drink Away the Art exhibition in Dresden, Germany invited viewers to grab a (provided) glass and literally drink away. What I love about this – besides the interaction – is how the viewers are actually helping to create the art as the levels of liquid recede and the frames change.
