Luxe Poncho.

I’ve fallen in love. This time with the Luxe Poncho.

Our office is so chilly that I find myself wearing my jacket all day long. And I can tell ya, that’s not gonna fly all winter long which means that I need to find some warmer clothes that aren’t outerwear. Enter the Luxe Poncho. I love that it’s waist-length – okay, maybe not on my 5’2″-ness… – and has those great patch pockets.

Martha Martha Martha.

It’s entirely too early to start posting about holiday decor, but oh well. The first post was going to happen sooner or later here at Design Crush and what better way to start things off than with Martha Stewart’s holiday collection at Macy’s. It’s the jewel tones that really get me as well as the kugel ornaments. And though the wreath of ornaments in the center is only a display of colors available, what a great idea for a project. That sneaky Martha and her crew just continue to out-do themselves again and again. (Which partially explains my love/hate relationship with the woman!)

Fresh Style Card File.

When I first saw the Fresh Style card file I thought it was a cool way to organize my ever-growing card collection. But then I saw that it actually comes with a set of twelve cards – 4 birthday, 4 thank-you and 4 sentiments – and matching envelopes and it made it that much better.

Columbia Sugar & Creamer Set.

Sugar and creamer sets appeared on my list of things I have ‘Things’ for about six months ago. There are just so many cool, well-designed sets out there that it’s so hard to choose just one. The Columbia sugar & creamer set from Bodum is my newest favorite. I love the polished chrome finish and the fact that both pieces are double-walled to keep your cream extra cold and your sugar extra dry.

Klas Fahlen.

Maybe this is actually more of a Secret Admirer situation. Because I honestly know nothing about Klas Fahlen other than the fact that he’s an amazing illustrator. The man is an enigma, but his work speaks volumes.

Modern Printed Matter.

Modern Printed Matter is the Rhode Island-based brainchild of Anna Cote. MPM originally began as a “night and weekends” endeavor and quickly turned into something much more – with good reason, the girl has talent. As of May 2007 Anna has made MPM her full-time job and in September opened up an Etsy shop. Her designs are clean, modern and fun and a must check-out for anyone who loves papergoods.

My favorites are the fun cards and tags below. I’m also an admitted sucker for her 2008 Desktop Botanical Calendar that I posted about here.

Count Piggy Bank.

My best friend’s son, Asher, is celebrating his third birthday tomorrow. I can’t believe the little booger is getting so big already (he’s already more than half of me!) or how incredibly smart he is. He can already spell at least fifty words and is obsessed with letters and numbers – seriously smart.

I came across the Count Piggy Bank last week and instantly thought of him. It’s definitely one of the coolest piggy banks I’ve seen and I actually wouldn’t mind owning one myself. Stylish enough for an adult, don’t you think?
