I love this series of posters by Simon Page. He apparently started designing them as a side project, but when the folks over at the International Year of Astronomy set eyes on them they decided to use the posters as promos. The flat fields of color and old-school look really tickles my fancy. {via Kitsune Noir}
Posted In graphic design, postersWell gosh darnit, you made me go all “golly gee” today with your birthday wishes! I’m such a lucky girl. Between all of the blog, Facebook and Twitter comments wishing me a happy day I have nothing else to say but a big fat thank you. With sugar on top from the bottom of my heart.

Posted In wear itI’m so glad the season for hot drinks has arrived again. I’m all about this Pumpkin Cider.
Pumpkin Gnocchi. I love the idea of throwing a seasonal twist into such a traditional dish. YUM.

Let me make one thing clear, I think the illustration work of Sandra Juto is phenomenal. And I think this poster she collaborated on with graphic designer Mija Carlsson and typographer Malena Forsare is uber-phenomenal. It must be mine.
Posted In paper goods, postersFarewell, dear 20s. You were fantastic, amazing and all of the above. You’ll now find me browsing the In Your 30s section of Cosmo and overhauling my skincare routine.
Looks like I’m sharing today with some pretty good company: Matthew McConaughey (40), Trishelle Cannatella (30), Heather Tom (34), Diddy (40), Jeff Probst (47), Ralph Macchio (48), Kathy Griffin (49), Markie Post (59), Laura Bush (63), Loretta Swit (72) and Doris Roberts (79).
