Alexander Ovchinnikov.
Yesterday I was introduced to the work of Alexander Ovchinnikov and was immediately drawn to his silhouetted children’s book images. So sweetly dark and freakish. Right up my alley.

Posted In create, paperSince it’s cold as (insert male body part here) most everywhere, something warm is in order. I’m digging this twist on an old school classic in the Warm Hazelnut Toddy.
Warm Hazelnut Toddy
1 1/2 ounces Frangelico
1/2 cup hot water
2 tablespoons lightly whipped heavy cream
In a mug, stir together the Frangelico and hot water. Spoon the whipped cream over the top before serving.
The Oiva tablewear collection consists of five cups, three bowls, three plates and a teapot. Am I crazy to think that these are the only things I could ever need in my kitchen cupboards? Mad love, I tell ya. (Supposedly available here as of Fall 09…) {via SeeSaw Designs}
Posted In kitchenI love the fragility of the Bubble Bank. Too bad you have to break the glass to get at the cash… or is it?
Posted In grand designI become obsessed with the most random everyday things. Like these commercial straight-sided jars. The instant I saw them I wanted them. Just to put things in. Things to display within their glass jail cell walls. A museum of sorts with ever-evolving exhibits.
Posted In kitchen, officeI’m having a difficult time finding words sufficient enough to express my love of these graphic tights from Les Queues de Sardines. So I’ll just let the photos speak for themselves and leave it at “Wow.” {via Eat Drink Chic}
Posted In wear itAfter five days of not touching my reader and over 1,000 posts to catch up on, this is what knocked my socks off the farthest: The Small Object’s downloadable resolution record.
As I’ve mentioned I’m not all that into resolutions, but imagine the possibilities of this bad boy! Diets, exercise, remembering to feed the kids (er) – absolutely anything you want to keep track of doing on a daily basis. She’s provided the genius template, now you provide the rest.
Posted In downloads, holidays, new yearsSorry for the light posting today, but catching up is hard to do! Have a sweetie of an evening.
Posted In picture itSaying that I’m on the hunt for cute pieces to wear to the Alt Summit would be a massive understatement. (I’m speaking on a panel, will I be seeing you there?) And while I’m 37.65% sure these dresses from Carol Hannah would be a bit too much (or perhaps too little, it’s in Salt Lake City after all…) they’re oh so tempting.
