Posted In cards, paper goodsI’m smitten with this colorful spectrum of stationery by artist Jordi Ferreiro! Makes me wish I’d hung on to all of mine, especially the Lisa Frank designs of my childhood. (via Present&Correct)
Posted In collaboration/project, create, paperCrushing on graphic designer Julian Bialowas’s year-long photography project – 365Q. Each day he pairs an inspirational quote with one of his own photographs. And while the idea has been done before, it’s motivational to me all the same. (via Dismount Creative)
Posted In collaboration/project, create, photographyOne of the few places I had a chance to check out during my whirlwind trip to Seattle in July was Top Pot, and to say their doughnuts were mind-altering would be an understatement. Last month brothers Mark and Michael released a cookbook revealing the secrets behind their recipe that dates back to the 1920s. Do yourself a favor and buy a copy, each and every taste bud will thank you!
Posted In read upFresh Flowers is one of the best things I’ve seen recently. Love flowers, but hate watching them wilt and die? This is for you. Designed by Sandra Bautista, this super smart project consists of 32 pages with printed flowers in a newspaper format that can be rolled up and placed in a vase. When you get tired of one variety just switch ’em out! (via bltd)
Posted In create, grand design, paperYes, it’s only the early stages of October. And yes, Pantone is everywhere these days. But I couldn’t resist sharing these ornaments because really, how great would these look on a tree, my fellow design nerds?
Posted In christmas, holidaysI’m not sure when I first found HarLex and their incredible line of handcrafted leather, but I’m glad I did. They have a serious focus on customer personalization, from putting your name on your new leather good to choosing the color of leather and stitching used. All of which results in a unique one-of-a-kind product each and every time. With that sort of business plan it’s hard to go wrong!
