I love my refurbished bar cabinet and wouldn’t trade it for anything, but I’m really drawn to The Sidebar. It would be so handsome in my entryway where I could introduce it to my guests and ask if they’d like a Sidecar from my Sidebar. (Sorry for that one. But not really.) (via Apartment Therapy)

The Area Code Project is helmed by Mike McQuade, who’s attempting to make a poster for every area code in the U.S. starting with Illinois. Let’s face it, Target has changed the way stores of its ilk work. One of the very biggest changes is fashion. As in I can now afford these huge designer labels. This month marks five years of their GO International Designer Collective, featuring every single name you see above. To celebrate they’ve brought back all the best-sellers for (of course) a limited time. I have no shame in admitting that I spent a solid half hour in the dressing room yesterday trying on no less than ten frocks. And at the end of that half hour I emerged triumphant, with this dress that I’ll be wearing to one of three weddings this summer – and it only set me back $40!
Artist Candy Chang has put up a great installation at 900 Marigny Street in her neighborhood in New Orleans. During the course of one month and seven hours she turned the side of an abandoned house into a giant chalkboard to help people remember what’s important in life. Anyone who tries to eat reasonably healthy has that moment of realization – it’s cheaper to eat like crap. Jonathan Blaustein had the moment when he bought ten organic blueberries for a dollar. Afterward he set about chronicling amounts of food you can get for a dollar through his camera, healthy foods are juxtaposed with the not so healthy. Another great collaboration from Threadless just hit the table. This time they teamed up with Baggu to release ten limited edition Duck Bags, each sporting a design from the Threadless design community. These bags are heavy duty and super strong. Each 100% recycled cotton canvas tote has an adjustable strap with brass hardware for versatility, a center snap, and an inside pocket.
I’ve ogled Egg Press’s pretty patterns for as long as I can remember, so when they gave me the heads up that they were teaming up with Blue Sky to create a line of exclusive calendars for Target I was really excited. It’s always nice to start off a new year with a clean slate. And everything from wall calendars to planners are on Target’s shelves right this very second. Might I suggest snapping one or three up before they sell out? Because they will.
