Livada Fragrance Vase

Livada Fragrance Vase-1-Design Crush

One of my summer goals is to have fresh flowers around constantly. It’s one of my favorite ways to keep my home feeling fresh, and I usually pick up a bunch at the grocery store when I make my weekly run through. Designed by Studio Macura, the Livada Fragrance Vase is a glass vase meant to hold a small bouquet of flowers or herbs. Made to enhance and enjoy the fragrance of flowers, it consists of two glass pieces – a small glass container and a cover that’s pierced with a small hole to allow fragrance to make its way out.

Shore Rugs

Shore Rugs-1-Design Crush

Outdoor rugs can be kind of a nightmare when you take the elements into consideration. Shore rugs are a new line of innovative rugs woven with a specially designed silicone cord that can be used both indoors and out, with some really fun color combinations in the mix. The handwoven rugs would be perfect by the pool or on your yacht (ahem).

Perpetual Calendar

Perpetual Calendar-1-Design Crush

Last month I had the chance to meet and chat with Seattle’s fruitsuper design and fell even harder for their brilliant, thoughtful designs. And their latest is maybe their greatest. If you guessed it was an abacus you’d be exactly like me – but it’s a perpetual calendarThe entire piece is made in the U.S.A. with the porcelain slip cast in Texas, the the brass machined in California, the maple in Maine, and then all assembled in Washington. Right now this guy is sitting high atop my Christmas list!

Balancing timeless simplicity with sculptural tactility, this iconic counting calendar is hand crafted with porcelain beads, brass, and solid maple. Simply slide the beads to indicate month, day, and date – adding elegant repetition to your everyday.
