This collection of patterned postcards – Pattern Box – just makes me happy. You know what I mean, how something seemingly small can do that? Curated by NYC’s Textile Arts Center, it features 100 postcards from ten international designers. Pattern Box is definitely going to amp up my correspondence game which has been sorely lacking in 2013, not to mention the inspiration wall in my office.

One overcast afternoon last week I crawled under a blanket and poured through Samantha Hahn’s Well-Read Women: Portraits of Fiction’s Most Beloved Heroines. The book features a collection of fifty heroines captured in Hahn’s watercolors in every shade of the rainbow. I’m such a fangirl of Samantha’s illustrations, and when they’re paired with hand-lettered quotes from some of literature’s most well-known ladies I feel positively giddy.

Andrew Lyons is a crazy talented illustrator and his series of birds created for Strong, a line of nutrient supplements, is only further proof. Lyons created 13 pieces for the 13 products available, each represented by its own avian friend. He manages to create such depth that his illustrations almost resemble paper sculptures!

POKETO + Lisa Congdon

POKETO+Lisa Congdon-1-Design Crush

 

I’m sort of beside myself with this collaboration between two of my favorites – POKETO and Lisa Congdon! Lisa’s bright, geometric style lends itself perfectly to these linen tea towels that will only get softer with use. Choose from a pyramids or herringbone pattern in two color palettes. (I can’t help but think how fantastic one of these would be wrapped around a summer hostess gift!)
