Simply Design Coffee.

Mondays are consistently my highest days of coffee consumption. And when it’s dreary and raining outside you can pretty much count on tripling my Normal Monday Intake. I don’t care whether it’s hot, frothy, icy, blended, bottled or all of the above (is that even possible?), I will take it and gladly toss it back.

When I came across Simply Design Coffee I got really excited – here are two of my all-time loves, coffee and design, harmoniously co-existing in a non-Starbuck’s environment. Kudos to the designers at ING who stood up for negative space because it makes the product come full circle.

Matthew Mead Fall.

I adore Matthew Mead’s advice and ideas, only it makes me sad that he updates just once a season. I want more. The Fall version was released recently with some tasty looking recipes for chifon pies, as well as autumn style tips and decorating ideas for Halloween and Thanksgiving. Definitely make sure and check out the Downloads section for some fun ideas.

Lagrange 34.

Lagrange 34 is this beautifully crafted chocolate from Torino, Italy (which is coincidentally somewhere I’d love to visit before my last day). The new line of chocolate products combines traditional quality and a contemporary design approach. Currently there are six different designs to choose from. Lagrange 34 prides themselves on exploiting chocolate as a design medium. Love it! Can you frame chocolate?

teaposy.

It seems like I’ve been coming across teaposy everywhere lately. The last place I spotted it was in the movie Marie Antoinette. Premium white tea leaves (yum) and natural herbal flowers are hand crafted into delicate tea blossons that “bloom” once you add hot water. Not so sure I’d be a big fan of the flavor – I tend to lean more towards black teas – but the presentation is incredible. teaposy glassware is a perfect compliment to the process of “growing” these blossoms.

Giant Hostess Cupcake.

Hostess cupcakes are right up there on the dessert totem pole for this girl, so imagine how my heart skipped a beat when I came across this Giant Hostess Cupcake by Nicole of Baking Bites via yumsugar. My birthday is in a month and I would looove for someone to whip one of these babies. Hint, Hint…

Table fifty-two.

I have to do a quick plug for Table fifty-two in Chicago. My cousin, Sari, helped (Oprah’s) Chef Art Smith open it recently and I’ve heard nothing but amazing things thus far. It’s located at 52 W. Elm Street if you’re interested!

Evian Palace Bottle.

Evian has created the Evian Palace Bottle for “the ultimate dining experience.” Form and function abound between the pourer, coaster and bottle design which bring a new level of sophistication and style to the table. Unfortunately, you can’t create that experience in your own home because the Palace Bottle is only available to leading restaurants.

Chocolat Moderne.

Buying chocolates from Chocolat Moderne might be the secret to dieting. I’m almost positive that if I had these little beauties around versus Hershey’s I’d be more likely to pass on eating them and vie for looking at them instead. Let’s not forget the packaging either. The colors and simplicity of design are perfect for something so decadent.

Gloji.

I think I’m coming down with a cold (sore throat, achy ears, all that good stuff). Perhaps something that claims it has the “power of the most potent antioxidant known to man” could help me out a little bit.

Gloji harvests the “power” of the goji berry to create one powerful drink available in two different mixes – Glogi Mix which is a combo of goji berries and pomagranate and Gloji Gold which seems to be liquid health or something thisclose to it.

It’s actually all about the packaging. Any brand brazen enough to package their product in a lightbulb-shaped bottle has my vote.

The Treats Truck.

The Treats Truck (aka ‘Sugar’) is like the Good Humor man for adults. It’s all thanks to Kim Ima who spends her days baking and serving treats on the streets of NYC. Oh, how I would love to catch her driving down the street this afternoon. Yet another reason to be jealous of New Yorkers!

The Treats Truck is packed full with boxes of freshly baked cookies, brownies and goodies. The TT offers a variety of baked goods that aren’t too fancy, but always fresh. There are even daily Specials!

One word. Yum.
