This leather bag tag from Owen & Fred is everything I love in the world. Simple, utilitarian, and clean. Of course it’s designed for your luggage, but I’d be hard-pressed not to hang a more vague version off my handbag as an accessory as well. (via bltd)
A few weeks ago I was taking a look through the past year in posts and decided to put together a Top 40 collection for 2012. I had hoped to spread it out over a few days and organize everything a bit, but a family death and extended stay in Pennsylvania over the holidays set me back and I had to lump it all together. Thank you so much for continuing to help make this site such an amazing part of my daily life – here’s to 2013!
I’m off to Italy for Design Lab a week from today! International travel always feels way different than domestic to me. Of course there’s the extended time in the air and the time change to contend with. But for me it’s always a matter of what to do while in-flight. My usual go-tos are reading, writing, and attempting to catch a few Zs. There’s also the small matter of making sure all of my immediate necessities are within arms reach, I never pack anything I can’t go without for at least 12 hours after arrival (blame that on one too many lost bags). Throw in a tote to carry it all and we’re airborne!
I’m taking today off to celebrate the end of summer (in theory) and Labor Day, but bright and early tomorrow I’ll be heading off to NYC to reveal the outcome of the HP Designer Matchup necklace you voted on creating! I can’t wait to see what everyone thinks and report back next week. Straight from New York I’ll be jetting cross country to San Francisco to attend Mighty Summit with some amazing women in media. It’s going to be a jam-packed week, but I have posts scheduled for you every day like normal. See you soon!
International Courage’s passport stamps turn up their noses at stiff and stodgy customs officers. These stamps are, in fact, very real. But not recommended for those who aren’t daring enough to risk getting a pat down (or more)! Afterwards you can tweet your story using the #internationalcourage hash tag for all to see.
My luggage is the norm. Black, utilitarian, indistinguishable. I’m thinking these luggage tags from Moleskine (yes, that Moleskine) would be a total game changer.
