I’ve been keeping my mouth shut and waiting for months as my good friend, Jaime Derringer of Design Milk, pulled together what was sure to instantly become my go-to jewelry shop. And at long last Adorn Milk is here!

If modern art and design for your body is your thing, you’ll love Jaime’s handpicked selection of independent and emerging jewelry designers. Each one is focused on architectural, high-quality exclusive and custom pieces by independent artists and designers from around the world. And yeah, I basically want it all.

St. Eloy

St.-Eloy-1-Design-Crush

Emily Counts’ Portland-based St. Eloy jewelry line is inspired by geological formations, medieval craftsmanship, and mid-century modernism. Cast bronze, silver, and porcelain pieces are at once sculptural, geometric, organic in form, while Emily’s more playful painted beads focus on line, contrast, and color. But that’s not the end of her talent, check out more of Emily Counts’ artistic skills at emilycounts.com.

Lana Pelana

Lana Pelana-5-Design Crush

I’m never sure why there isn’t more amazing textile-focused jewelry out there. Marta, the Spanish maker behind Lana Pelana, is fascinated with the possibilities behind embroidery. It takes her several days to finish each hand-stitched piece, the end result a small “crafted amulet” that’s a treasure to wear.

Mixed Doubles

Mixed Doubles-1-Design Crush

Just as this winter’s browns and greys started to hit their peak I came across these rolled French leather bracelets that are the exact opposite of cold and dreary. Melbourne’s Jen Booth hand-paints each Mixed Doubles piece in a duo of eye-popping color that’s sure to brighten up even the dullest of days.
