Win It: A Well-Designed Life

A-Well-Designed-Life-2-Design-Crush

How do you stay on top of the things going on outside of your bubble? My world revolves around the web so it’s my obvious go-to for news, events, everything really. I’m especially loving the new MSN site which is really well-designed. The overall site is uber minimal – which you know I love – and it’s perfect for the the touchscreen. As an online publisher one of my favorite features is its ability to share real-time trends, I need to stay on top of so much all of the time that I’ll take all the help I can get. MSN is the best way to stay in the know and the new site design is only the latest reminder. Check out all of its features for yourself right here.

Greene + Gray

Newcomers Greene + Gray recently introduced one of the best lines of women’s tech cases and totes I’ve seen all year (and that’s saying a lot when we’re halfway through November!). The collection – available in Stripe and Tribal designs – includes Macbook wristlets, carryalls and iPhone 5 wallets that can stand alone as accessories or be combined as a set. I know a lot of women have a difficult time finding tech accessories that are both stylish and professional, but now it looks like Greene + Gray has got our backs! You can purchase the entire line on Apple and Apple.com.

Oroton Laptop Bag

Being a freelance consultant living in the walker’s city of Manhattan, it feels like I’m forever on the hunt for the right laptop bag. One that feels professional, artistic and practical for downpours, cafe work sessions and corporate meetings.

For anyone’s who’s looked, the market’s a rough one. Elegance and affordability rarely go hand in hand and for some reason, and it seems like clunky male styles dominate. I recently stumbled across this neutral, geometric beauty by Oroton and am a big fan, particularly of the repeating rope pattern. What do you think?

As the brainchild of New York based designer and brand strategist, Shayna Kulik, Pattern Pulp serves as a forum dedicated to tracking emerging concepts in print and pattern design. Shayna pulls from her experience as a fashion-focused textile and product designer — where she began to “see life in patterns” — to deliver insights in design communication.

Pantone Meets Apple

Pantone, Apple, and neon. Three of my favorite things all rolled into one! These PANTONE UNIVERSE and Case Scenario iPhone 4S/4 cases came into my life at the exact moment I was starting my annual case replacement search. They’re a little thinner than previous ones I’ve owned, but that hasn’t compromised the safety of my phone and my clumsy ways one bit. In fact, I hardly notice it’s there which is nice. I snagged the neon pink for myself, and you can get your own Apple.com or an Apple retail store. Which is your favorite neon?
