Witty set of four espresso cups in differing tones of brown to suit your coffee strength and tastes. Comes in glossy brown packaging, it will make the best present for the design-conscious coffee lover.

Love the rich browns. Makes me want to drink even more java than I already do!

Hold Cookbook Page holder.

The simple idea behind the Hold cookbook page holder is obvious, yet executed beautifully. The 10.5 x 1.25″ steel bar lies across the book to hold the pages open without hiding the recipe. I’m forever getting gunk on the pages of my cookbooks when they threaten to shut themselves! This is a great solution.

Number Tea Towel Set.

Good typography is always “in” with me, so I’m both happy and sad that it’s been a hit with the masses lately. This number tea towel set caught my eye in a big way the other day. Me thinks I may have a weekend project on my hands.

To-Go Ware Stainless Food Carrier.

I’ve been really intrigued by bento boxes recently, and since I’m a huge fan of stainless this one caught my eye immediately. Of course it’s a great idea for food – lunch at the office, potluck meals, etc – but I also like the idea of using these food carriers to store other things like make-up and crafting supplies. A shelf lined with these guys would look so organized!

OMA Lemon Squeezer.

The OMA Lemon Squeezer is so pretty and functional that I’d proudly display in on a kitchen countertop instead of hiding it away in a cupboard. If I owned one I’d be forced to drink a lot more fresh squeezed orange juice and lemon drop martinis.

Drop Stop Tea Strainer.

Today is soggy and cold which is a sad reversal of the 78º record high we experienced yesterday. Then it was windows down, hair blowing. Now it’s heater on, wipers going. Can’t wait to have some tea when I get home, although I swear I’ve had three cups at work this afternoon. I’m digging this Drop Stop Tea Strainer even though I don’t drink loose leaf tea all that often.

Simply pop off the lid of this sleek stainless steel tea straining device and fill the strainer with tea leaves. Hang the strainer over the side of your mug or tea cup for steeping. When you remove it, the spoon under the strainer will catch all drips and drops from getting on the counter or table.

Ego Coffee Cup and Saucer.

Designed by Stefan Lindfors, the Ego coffee cup and saucer are a perfect fit for the modern table. The unique design of the handle helps keep the cup steady in hand and on its saucer, which I find to be an impressive design feature. (As a side note, Ego is also available in dinnerware.)

Fragile.

Another great entry from designboom’s dining in 2015 contest, Mey Kahn and Boaz Kahn’s fragile salt and pepper shakers are beautiful and interactive.

When was the last time you emphatically broke somthing? The ceramic salt and pepper shaker offers you the opportunity to do it! The product comes in one piece and by breaking it, you make it useful. Breaking is an experience of impulsive outburst. But this time is an act that builds rather than destroys. In a world of products whose shape is completely dictated by the designer, we enable the user to complete the design himself. The event of the breaking leaves its mark on the shaker and gives it its final, unique, one-of-a-kind appearance.

Candy Colored Glass Pedestals.

I love using pretty little dishes and bowls on my dresser and in the bathroom to hold jewelry and hair accessories. I’ve been looking for just the right piece for my perfume bottles and think I’ve found it in these candy colored glass pedestals. The cotton candy pink glass pieces come in two sizes – Small is 6.25″ diameter, 2″h and Medium is 8.5″ diameter, 3″h. And if I get tired of having it in the bathroom I can always just relocate it to the kitchen for goodies!

Eco-cook.

Kechenyl Camille’s dining in 2015 entry – eco-cook – is design brilliance.

The artist describes it best saying “In 2015, environment problems from energy will become more and more serious. I believe that everyone’s life will be concerned. Thus kitchenware will be modernise to reduce energy consumption. My eco-cook is an object that helps to save water, energy and time. Everyday, everyone, has to cook pasta, rice or various vegetable. Therefore different pots are needed. In a unique pot, the eco-cook enables to divide 2 or 3 space and to boil different food at the same time. Thereby, water and gas or electricity is saved. Moreover when food is taken out the eco-cook, it will automatically drain out, allowing to win precious time. In 2015 I also believe that most people will always be in a hurry. The eco-cook design permits to help 2015 people that pay close attention to energy and time.”
