Avo Bocce

Avo Bocce-1-Design Crush

The Avo Bocce set screams American classic, hand-finished, timeless pastime. Bocce reminds me of hanging out with my family, summer nights spent in the backyard with the adults sipping cold beers and the kids running around exhausting themselves until the sky went dark. This set would be such an amazing hand-me-down, especially as each oak ball builds up its own unique patina. If you think this set is as beautiful as I do, click over to Avo Bocce’s Kickstarter page and stake your claim.

Patio Perfect

This July marks five years since I bought my home! I’m not sure where all that time has gone, and I’m a bit amazed at the projects I have yet to complete. I’m working on my guest bedroom at the moment (can’t wait to share it with you later in the month!), but daydreaming about what needs to be done to the exterior. The only thing I’ve ever purchased was a cheap patio set that I planned on one day replacing, and my backyard is in an embarrassing state. It should also be said that I need to actually lay down a patio before I can technically have one, but here’s the vibe I’m hoping for…

Tips&Tricks: Gardening + Landscaping

Tips&Tricks-Gardening+Landscaping-Design-Crush

I can be described as having a brown thumb at best. I have an odd talent for growing African violets that thrive, and not much else. Succulents hate me and I even once killed a cactus. I’m That Girl. So with all of that out in the open – whew! – you can see why I’m always on the look out for tips & tricks that might help me out a bit.

Martone Cycle Co.

Martone Cycle Co-1-Design Crush

It’s been awhile since I’ve crushed on a bicycle company, but yesterday I was introduced to Martone Cycle Co. and now I can’t stop thinking about this lady in red. (Pun only somewhat intended.) The company has a simple setup with one style for men and one for women, each available in five colors. A monotone bike, I love it. (via Camille Styles)
