En terrasse / To Go.

Designer Laurent Corio has come up with a vessel – En terrasee / To Go – contrasting the different ways people in Paris and New York drink their coffee. The saucer has the capability of becoming the lip of the cup and vice versa. So clever and much more attractive than your usual to-go cup.

There are so many fantastic pieces, but these are the ones that really stood out to my design style. Apparently I have a thing for soy sauce dispensers – who knew.

Coffee Spoon.

As I sit at my desk this morning enjoying a lovely cup of gas station joe, the Coffee Spoon by product designer Hye-Yeon Choi is begging to be talked about. Intended to be a simple solution for diner-type restaurants, this all in one straw-like design holds both the instant coffee and the sugar/creamer in one neat package. When the contents are poured out, you use the package itself as a spoon to stir your brew. Fascinating concept at the least, don’t you think?

Ceramic For Mix.

Ever swirl wine around a glass? That’s the idea behind Ceramic For Mix, a revolutionary drinking vessel. Gently swirl the mug to set the ceramic ball at the bottom into motion and stir the contents. The ball is kept in place by a slightly protruding base when stirring and drinking. Goodbye, spoon. It was nice knowin’ ya.

Folding Grill Tools.

I fired up the grill for the first time of the season last night, in the midst of a thunderstorm no less. Nothing fancy – just some honey dijon chicken for salads – but that time of year has definitely arrived. I’d love to own a set of these folding grill tools. They’re completely collapsable with folding pakkawood handles.

SL16 Noooodle.

Some people are just born with that certain knack for guessing how much pasta to make. I am not one of the blessed and time after time end up with either too much or too little. I’ve seen those nifty little kitchen gadgets geared towards helping you measure portion sizes, but the SL16 Nooodle is so much better! And after you’re done cooking your pasta it doubles as a trivet. Love that it looks like a big wet noodle itself, too.

Drawstring Tea.

A few weeks ago I was out for Saturday dinner with my mom. She had a cold and wanted some hot tea to soothe her scratchy throat. After ordering, the waitress brought out the tea caddy for my mom to make her selection. Upon opening the packet we were both surprised (and a little confused) to see this little drawstring tea bag! The drawstring allows you to get every drop out of the bag in an unintentionally fun way. Completely functional, awesome design which works really, really well.
