Blossa Glogg.

Blossa Glogg (aka vintage mulled wine) launches an annual edition every holiday season with a new flavor and bottle design. The brilliant minds at BVD came up with a fantastic solution to make the product both highly collected and covetable: keep the bottle shape the same while changing up the type and colors to reflect the year’s design and flavor. Apparently Blossa has had some excellent results – the past two years it sold out in the first two weeks.

sake2me.

Sake is not to be taken lightly and can quite literally knock you off your feet. It’s been known to happen to a “friend” of mine after a few shots of the good stuff. One thing sake is not, in my opinion, is tasty. I’m thinking that if anything is going to change my mind it’s going to be sake2me. Made with premium Japanese sake and sweetened with pure cane sugar, it comes in Yuzu, Asian Pear, Ginger Mango and Green Tea flavors. Oh yeah, and the packaging is cool. Just enough Asian-influence to keep it fresh and modern without taking it to that ugly place called Overboard.

GapBody Bath + Skin.

I popped into the Gap Sunday to pick up the Luxe Poncho that I was gushing over last week and was pleasantly surprised to see GapBody’s Bath + Skin products all beautifully lined up on the shelves. Speaking as the Product Whore that I am, the packaging is lovely and definitely made me want to pick one of the eight scents for my very own. I held out with much restraint, but think I’ve found something else for my Christmas list.

Bitch.

I had an amazing birthday weekend despite the very un-fun cold I was hosting. One of my very favorite gifts was the bottle of Bitch Grenache wine my best friend Linnzi surprised me with. The wine more or less named itself: the grapes are a bitch to grow for the winemakers at R Winery. Among design-y type things I adore are wine labels, and this one is incredibly simple and light-hearted (the ingredients are bitch, bitch, bitch, etc). Definitely girly and a great birthday present. (Thanks L-Dawg!)

Sweet’s Candy.

The morning after Halloween most people are at their candy saturation point. I said most people. *wink, wink*

Sweet’s Candy creates some seriously quality candies out in Salt Lake City. And some seriously clever packaging for their Twist Box series filled with classic candy. I love the idea of opening a big piece of ‘candy’ to get to the rest of the goods.

Momspit.

Momspit (inspired by the original). Yup, you read that correctly. I’m not big on hand sanitizers, but this is too cool. It doesn’t contain any alcohol (and isn’t techinically a sanitizer) so it’s safe to use anywhere – even your face. It even moisturizes which I think is my big pet peeve about most hand sanitizers – they dry my skin out like crazy. This I would buy for the name alone. Well, and to pull out when someone has something on their face (“Ooooh, let me get that, dear!). The scents seem amazing: fig/green tea, lemon/white tea and unscented.

verē.

verē (pronounced “very”) is the most sophisticated pure chocolate imaginable. Rich in cocoa, low in sugar, totally natural and a taste that could go to head to head with the world’s best. By starting with the very best ingredients available – sustainably grown, persicide-free cocoa beans – and sweetening them only slightly to bring out their flavor, verē presents its chocolate in the purest form possible.

I’m ga-ga over verē’s packaging, too. I’ll say it again and again white space is highly under-rated. By using it in this case, verē really is able to show off the beautiful craftsmanship and quality of their product and let it speak for itself.

Halloween Candy Bars at CHOW.

I’m not knocking the store bought stuff by any means because we’ve gotten through some tough times together, but holy crap do these homemade candy bars from CHOW look so, so good. Not only are these rockstars sharing their recipes for PB Cups, almond jay, TWIXT and Snickles, they’re also giving us a PDF wrapper to download for each one. A fun and well-designed one at that.
